Samsung Unpacked 2025: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and XR Headset Leak
Samsung is set to take the stage at the much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked 2025 on July 10, where the company is expected to unveil its latest innovations in mobile and wearable tech. This year’s launch could be Samsung’s most significant in recent memory, with the spotlight on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and a groundbreaking mixed reality headset known as Project Moohan.
Among the headliners, the Z Fold 7 is generating the most excitement. Leaks suggest the new foldable will come equipped with a powerful 200 MP main camera, run on the advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Elite chipset, and feature a sleeker design—just 4.2 mm when unfolded. Despite being one of the most powerful Samsung foldable phones of 2025, it’s said to weigh only 216 grams.
Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 alongside a more budget-friendly version, the Galaxy Z Flip FE (Fan Edition). The Flip 7 will likely feature enhanced outer displays and AI-powered camera improvements, while the FE model may come with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, positioning it as a smart alternative for cost-conscious consumers.
Adding to the lineup is the Galaxy Watch 8, rumored to debut with Google Gemini AI integration. This would make it Samsung’s first wearable to offer enhanced voice interactions, real-time health tracking, and personalized recommendations—key features in Samsung’s broader AI strategy for 2025.
Perhaps the most intriguing reveal is Project Moohan, a Samsung XR headset co-developed with Google and Qualcomm. Though not yet confirmed officially, reports indicate it will support spatial computing, gesture-based navigation, and native Android integration. The headset is seen as a direct challenger to the Apple Vision Pro in the growing mixed reality space.
