SEOUL – Genesis has officially unveiled the Electrified GV70, a premium electric SUV that blends dynamic design with next-generation performance. Built as part of the automaker’s global push toward sustainable mobility, this new model offers both elegant craftsmanship and the powerful capabilities expected from the Genesis badge.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art 84 kWh battery, the Electrified GV70 delivers an estimated 263 miles (423 kilometers) of range on a full charge, based on EPA testing. Even more impressive is its ultra-fast 800V charging system, which enables a charge from 10% to 80% in just 19 minutes — setting a high bar in the EV segment.

Under the hood — or more precisely, under the floor — the dual-motor setup generates around 429 horsepower, offering brisk acceleration that propels the SUV from 0 to 60 mph in about five seconds. This makes it one of the quickest entries in its class, while remaining smooth and quiet on the road.
Bold Design, Seamless Interior Tech
From the outside, the GV70 maintains the signature ‘Athletic Elegance’ design ethos, refined for its electric form. The G-Matrix grille has been reimagined into a sleek closed-off panel that hides the front charging port. Slim, high-tech Micro Lens Array (MLA) headlights add to its futuristic look.
Inside, the Electrified GV70 is as much a digital sanctuary as it is a luxury SUV. A sweeping 27-inch OLED display unifies the instrument cluster with the infotainment system. The cabin features ambient lighting, soft-touch premium materials, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and wireless phone charging — all designed to elevate the driver’s experience.
Smarter Driving, More Control
The Electrified GV70 includes a range of advanced technologies to assist both everyday commuting and rugged driving conditions. Its electronically controlled suspension uses road-preview data to adapt in real time, ensuring a smooth ride. The e-Terrain Mode gives drivers extra confidence on snow, mud, and uneven surfaces.
Additionally, drivers can adjust the level of regenerative braking using steering wheel paddles, allowing for a more intuitive and personalized drive.
Ready for the Road Ahead
The vehicle is compatible with the North American Charging Standard (NACS), giving owners access to a rapidly growing network of chargers, including Tesla’s Supercharger system and IONNA’s planned stations across North America.
In terms of safety, the GV70 recently earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ distinction, thanks to a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies.
Production of the Electrified GV70 is taking place in both South Korea and Montgomery, Alabama, marking the model’s availability across key markets starting in early 2025.
